Readdle releases PDF Expert 2 for Mac w/ improved editing capabilities and password support

Less than a year after it first brought the best-selling app to the Mac, Readdle today has launched PDF Expert 2 for the Mac. The company says that the update adds “even more power to the app,” which competes directly with other PDF apps like Adobe’s Acrobat.

With today’s update, PDF Expert gains a handful of new features that give users improved editing capabilities. First off, users are now able to edit the text of any PDFs they may receive. This will come in handy for editing documents like contracts and agreements. Additionally, images can also now be edited with users gaining the ability to add, delete, move, and replace images in PDF files.

Continuing the editing trend, PDF Expert 2 adds support for editing and creating outlines to easily move throughout the whole document. Last but not least, users can now add a password to their PDFs to securely share them.

– Edit text in PDFs We’ve added the possibility to make changes in a contract or fix typos of the name or a street address easily.

– Edit images PDF Expert 2 allows users to add, delete, move and replace images in PDF files.

– Edit Outlines PDF Expert provides the best experience for creating outlines to easily navigate through the whole file.

– Password protect PDFs Now it’s possible to set a password to PDFs or securely share them with clients, coworkers, and everyone in between.

PDF Expert 2 comes in at $59.99 on the Mac App Store, though there is a free 7-day trial before users have to pay. Today’s update comes as a free update for customers who have already purchased the first version of the app.
