“Windows Anywhere” makes an appearance in latest Windows 10 Insider build 14926

Just yesterday, Dona Sarkar and the Windows Insider team pushed out Windows 10 Insider build  14926. While some new features were officially noted by Microsoft, the folks over at WinSuperSite came across an unannounced “Windows Anywhere” feature also in the latest build.

Windows Anywhere

As seen above, “Windows Anywhere” can apparently be found under the “Sync Your Settings” portion of the Windows 10 account settings page. It’s not exactly clear what this new feature is for, but it could possibly be a rebranding of the “Sync Settings” feature. There is, however, still the possibility that this may also be a new feature which could reinvent or bring additional sync options to Windows 10. In fact, as WinSuperSite points out, a Microsoft job listing tweeted out by WalkingCat previously mentioned :

We’re passionate about UX and transforming how users interact with our products…. As a member of our team you will: Design, develop and perfect new ways of interacting with apps and files across all Windows devices.

The job listing, combined with “Windows Anywhere” showing up in the latest build perhaps hints that Windows Anywhere may bring newer sync setting options in the next generation of Windows 10. Regardless, we would love to know what you think of “Windows Anywhere” appearing in this build. Let us know what you think by dropping us a comment below!
