DataTech911 Awarded DHS Contract for Social Media and Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) Correlation
Columbia, MD (PRWEB) — June 07, 2016 — ElanTech is pleased to announce that it received a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology (S&T) Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) contract.
The Phase I SBIR will explore the feasibility of developing an architecture design for a real-time system to monitor social media feeds for meaningful events and correlating the events to information gathered in public safety computer aided dispatch (CAD) systems. The results of this effort will enhance the solutions that ElanTech is able to offer as part of its public safety software solutions division, DataTech911.
The efforts under this contract will include a study to define monitoring and search criteria for social media outlets to detect meaningful events. The detected meaningful events will be validated by correlation with CAD information that has been input through normal incident reporting procedures.
