On 5 November, The Spirits Business and a team of industry experts will judge a selection of spirits based on design and packaging alone.
As well as eye-catching aesthetics, the panel will be on the look out for quality materials, creativity, strong branding, functionality and a clear communication of the relevant category.
Judges can award Silver, Gold and Master medals, and the results will be announced in the December 2019 edition of The Spirits Business magazine.
Once the scores have been recorded, the panel of judges will once again assess the highest-scoring entrants to select a ‘best in class’ spirits design.
The competition is sponsored by premium cork closures maker Amorim Top Series, which specialises in the design, engineering and production of exclusive capsulated cork closures.
“Amorim Top Series is very proud to take part in The Spirits Business’s initiative because it highlights the essence of what we do as a business,” said Hugo Mesquita, sales and marketing director at Amorim Top Series, who will take part in the judging process in London.
“We add value to our client’s products by adding premium features to the packaging. Even the tiniest details of a spirits bottle are of paramount importance for the consumer, allowing them to fully appreciate the craft behind the product.”
