iOS 10 jailbreak reportedly released before Apple launches new operating system

Apple is gearing up to release its new operating system, the iOS 10 this week, but ahead of the launch, a new report claims that an iOS 10 jailbreak has been revealed on YouTube.

According to JBH News, a video that streamed recently on YouTube showed some features that are very similar to those found on the just released iPhone 7. Many believe that the iOS 10 beta, which was released to non-developer beta testers earlier this year, has been cracked, and apparently, the iOS 10 betas contained the 8-jailbreak for a 64-bit device. The video was published by jailbreak developer Luca Todesco on Sept. 5 — two days before the official launch of the iPhone 7.

The website reports that in Todesco’s remarks, the developer said that if the iOS 10 can be given the Apple kernel, it would be jailbroken. It was said that Todesco is not the only one who found a way to jailbreak the new iOS as a group of hackers have reportedly found security threats to iOS 10 before its release date. The site also claims that there are signs that the latest OS has been tapped, and new gadgets are about to be released in the market with the new OS.

It appears that jailbreak users are very excited over an iOS 10 jailbreak as it would bring new features to Apple devices that have never been seen before. Touted as Apple’s “biggest release yet,” the iOS update will include an updated Siri, a new screen lock, and a more playful and useful iMessage app.

The revamped opening screen will not have a “Swipe to unlock” prompt. Instead, one only needs to press the Home button to unlock the screen. Users will find that virtual assistant Siri is smarter this time around as she can write messages, do image searches, and even transcribe voice mails.

The iOS 10 will be released on Sept. 13 for iPhone 7, iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPad Air 2, iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad Mini 3, and iPad Mini 2.
