iPhone 7 newest leak gave out the upcoming iPhone device’s processor, the Apple A10 SoC. The processor is said to make the device a handy monster computer.
The upcoming iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus devices are reportedly the first benchmark for the A10 processor. According to the most recent information, the tests were launched earlier this week further revealing that the new chipset is faster.
The iPhone 7 models are assumed to run faster than the iPhone 6s, as the new processor is going to be as fast as the Apple A9X CPU found inside the iPad Pro models, according to the leaked Geekbench graphic. The image also showed the evolution of the Apple mobile chip, starting with the A4 and going all the way up to the A10, Scoopnest reported.
The Apple A10 Soc’s single-clock scores more than 3,000, nearly 500 points more than the Apple 9 and about the same amount as the Apple A9X. The A10 is also believed to be a dual-core chip that features an invincible single-core performance.
The iPhone 7 variants’ A10 processor is going to be mass produced by TSMC on its 16nm FinFET process. However, TSMC does not appear to be ready to mass-produce 10nm-based Apple processors just yet, which could have been faster and battery-friendlier than the 16nm A9 of iPhone 6s.
Meanwhile, a report claimed that the iPhone 7 will be a close copy of iPhone 6s, making it boring to those who are looking for something totally new, BZ News reported. However, just as the iPhone 6S was a major upgrade over the iPhone 6 in spite of featuring the same overall design, the iPhone 7 is likely to be an impressive device.
iPhone 7 models are said to deliver better hardware and better performance. It is expected that Apple iPhone 7 and 7 Plus will be announced in September during the Apple’s annual press event.
