Sony will roll out the 4.0 software update for PlayStation 4 tomorrow, the company announced in a new PlayStation Blog post.
Unveiled last month, the codenamed Shingen update for the Sony system will bring a bevy of new features, such as a user interface refresh and folders. But that’s not all, as the company revealed a host of changes on the PlayStation Blog.
For example, the PS4 4.0 update will introduce HDR compatibility for all systems, as Sony previously announced such an update was on the way, as well as add a music section to the Quick Menu. Sony states the update also includes features for the recently announced PlayStation 4 Pro, like 1080p streaming and live broadcasting on YouTube and Twitch.
Sony has also refreshed the What’s New and content info sections with the 4.0 update, altering the way that information is presented. Plus, if you are getting a PlayStation 4 Pro, players can transfer their data with a wired LAN connection. For more on the update, check out the PS Blog post, catch up on everything Sony announced at its September 7 press event, and read up on what to expect from Sony’s TGS 2016 press conference this week.
