The intense hype surrounding the Samsung Gear S3 has been proved as it is already sold out in the UK even before its release. The gadget was made available for pre-order in the UK just four days back and it’s out of stock now. The Gear S3 packs a punch with most-awesome features and premium build/aesthetics.
The Samsung Gear S3 official website has also posted a message stating that due to high demand the device is currently unavailable for pre-order. The device is set to be released on Nov. 11. The gadget is considerably bigger than its predecessor, Gear S2.
In fact, the Samsung Gear S3 looks way more masculine and bulkier than the S2. It will be made available in two variants, the Samsung Gear S3 Classic and Gear S3 Frontier. While there are no functional differences, the strap design is different. The rotating bezel was also present in the Gear S2.
The Samsung Gear S3 has a 1.3-inch circular Super AMOLED display that has a resolution of 360X360 pixels. It runs on the custom-built TizenOS and not on Google Android-wear software. The gadget is powered by Exynos 7270 chipset, 4GB storage, 380 mAh battery with wireless charging function and 768MB of RAM.
The Samsung Gear S3 is also dust/waterproof over 1.5 meter and 30 minutes and supports Near Field Communication (NFC) and Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST). Other features include ambient light sensor, HRM, barometer, accelerometer and gyroscope, writes GSMArena.
The location tracking option can be used to send and SOS message along with the wearer’s location. The rotating bezel makes it easy to use the Samsung Gear S3. The rotating UI is open to third-party apps. TizenOS has more than 10,000 apps for usage.
A 15-min charge can provide up to 10 hours of usage. A full charge can make the watch last for up to 4 days. Both the Samsung Gear S3 Classic and Gear S3 Frontier are available for £349 (US$455), reports Trusted Reviews.
