Panasonic Eluga Icon 2 is the latest device from Panasonic that is priced at Rs. 8,499 in India and is exclusively available via Amazon in the brown colour variant. This device will be the successor to theEluga Icon that was launched last year in the month August for a price of Rs. 10,999. This midrange device will be competing with the devices like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, Coolpad Note 3, Lenovo K3 Note and few other devices in the similar price range.
The Panasonic Eluga Icon 2 will sport a 5.5-inch IPS LCD HD (720 x 1280 pixels) touch screen display giving a pixel density of 267ppi and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop Operating system out of the box. Under the hood, there is a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6735processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. The handset will be backed up by a 3000mAh Li-ion battery which can be expected to last an entire day with normal usage. Moreover, the device supports network on 4G/LTE, 3G, 2G, and has connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11, b/g/n, Mobile Hotspot, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS with A-GPS and microUSB v2.0.
The Eluga Icon 2 will come with a 13MP camera sensor at the rear and is accompanied with a 5MP snapper in the front. On the storage front, the device houses an internal memory of 16GB that can further get expanded up to a maximum of 32GB via microSD card. The device has sensors like Proximity sensor, Accelerometer and Ambient light sensor.
The Eluga Icon that was released sports a 13 MP camera sensor with LED flash and also has AF feature and on the front, there is 8 MP camera. It also has features like Smart Awake, Double tap to wake up the screen, iSense, Air Swipe Unlock, Hot-Know and Blink Play.
