Berlin IFA 2016: Samsung’s curved gaming monitors to be released

Samsung, the Korean  giant who has a firm step in the tech market, has come up with the new curved and Quantum Dots display gaming monitors and are ready to be unveiled in the IFA 2016 in Berlin next week.

According to Tech Spot, Samsung will be unveiling two types of curved shaped gaming monitors in which one comes in two screen sizes. The innovative features of Samsung to keep these monitors apart from other rivalry monitors are the Samsung’s Quantum Dots technology, ball-and-joint mechanism stand and curved screen design.

Monitor CF 791 series is made up of – the 34-inch display, Ultra wide (21:9) 3440×1440 monitor with 1500R curvature. The curvature designed by Samsung makes it the most curved gaming monitor in the market. It has a refresh rate of 100Hz and has AMD Free Sync Technology that synchronizes the rate with AMD’s graphic cards. The response time is 4ms, A few additional features built-in three USB ports with two HDMI ports and dual 7-watt speakers. The colors available are White and Silver and a price tag is 999 USD.

Monitor CFG70 – the 23.5-inch and 27-inch Samsung CFG70 gaming monitors will be available later this year for 399 USD and 499 USD respectively as perTechradar. The curved screen size may be slightly smaller than the above mentioned version but the gaming abilities in this monitor is well versed with 1080p display, improved response time (1ms), refresh rate of 144Hz and most important feature of interactive LED “Arena Lighting” to provide a richer gaming experience by pulsing with the action. Both the models have one Display Port and 2x HDMI and a single headphone-out port. These monitors will give live gaming experience to the users.

According to Zdnet, Samsung said the “boundless” design will allow gamers to focus on the screen, rather than the display.

Seog-gi Kim, SVP of Samsung’s Visual Display Business, in a statement said “As the gaming market continues to enjoy rapid worldwide growth, gamers expect advanced display technologies that can bring out the latest video game features and optimize the gameplay experience,”

He also added “By enhancing our pioneering curved gaming monitors with quantum dot technology, our CFG70 and CF791 displays further surround players and make them feel as if they are part of the game. We are excited to demonstrate this futuristic and immersive gaming environment at IFA 2016,”
