The new iPhone rumor mill isn’t the only thing turning these days. Now there’s loads of speculation about Samsung and something it’s calling “Project Dream,” which is most likely Samsung’s new flagship phone, the Galaxy S8.
We could see the phone as early as the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February/March of 2017, but in the meantime, we’ll have to take our best-educated guesses as to what the phone will have in store for us.
Here’s what we know so far:
- The Galaxy S8 could have a 4K resolution – perhaps for virtual reality.
- It’s expected to run on Android 7.0, Nougat.
- The Galaxy S8 could add the USB Type-C charger for faster charging and data transfers. The new port could also fix some compatibility issues.
- It’s believe that the upcoming model will also include Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 830 chip.
How does that compare to what we’ve heard so far about the upcoming iPhone? Well, the iPhone 7 is expected to rely on the Lightning port for charging and audio, new color options, dual cameras and more. If you’d like to see a full list of speculated features, click here.
This year Samsung actually outsold the iPhone, so it will be exciting to see what else is in store. We expect more rumors to pour in as the MCW inches closer. We here at Komando.com will be sure to tell you all the whispers about the new phone as we hear them.
